Field Director

Tracy Novick

Tracy Novick is the field director for Central Massachusetts. As part of her work for the association, Tracy focuses on all aspects of Massachusetts public school finance, presenting to districts across the state and working with members on their own local revenue pictures. She is a member of the Association of School Business Officials, International and holds a Massachusetts licensure in school business administration. Tracy also manages most social media for the Association, attending Board of Elementary and Secondary Education meetings, creating the every school day Daily Ed, and updating members via social media of the ever-changing world of education policy.

Tracy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Smith College and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Boston University. She is the 2010 recipient of the Defender of Liberty Award from the American Civil Liberties Union; the 2015 MASC Division IX All-State School Committee Member; and a 2017 recipient of the Friend of MASBO Award.

Tracy served for ten years on the Worcester School Committee. The mother of three Worcester Public Schools graduates, Tracy lives in Worcester with her husband Colin and their cat Harry.
